So it's pretty clear in context that the quotes that the conspiracy nuts are using are pulled entirely out of their context and things like "you're gonna get to drink a few cups of coffee a year" probably need to be continued "if climate change continues as predicted and destroys the places where we know coffee can be grown."

It should likewise be no surprise at all that Jojo Mehta's words will have been pulled out of context as well. I can't find much on her presentation, but her organization, Stop Ecocide Now, gives plenty of concrete examples of what they're talking about and is worth a scroll for additional context.

But of course, none of that matters. The WEF is evil therefore everything said there can be construed to be evil, and if it ain't evil enough, just mangle some quotes to make them evil!

There are possible solutions to this. We have been through this before in Europe during world wars when coffee was difficult to get and it was partially supplemented or completely replaced with ersatz ingredients made from domestic plants and mushrooms. Food industry is actively working on alternatives to plants like coffee and cocoa because it's well known that their availability and price are going to change with climate change. If they are successful then one day we will have GM cockroaches that taste like M&M's!

It's funny because both the WEF and InfoWars like to imagine that they're the biggest free marketeers going.

WEF is probably closer to actually being that, and I was surprised to see such a defense of smallholders, because they tended to be more the "it's better for the environment to import vegetables from across the world than eat meat from next door" type (which is probably actually true, but they were doing it as part of a full trade globalization push) whereas Alex Jones is more the "I demand the right to buy unlabeled raw meat from my neighbor and give myself botulism because it's natural" type.

Landlords' expenses are up, in all areas. Inflation. Naturally, landlords have to pass on the costs to the tenants.

In addition to the normal expenses, many landlords haven't been collecting rents due to Covid moratoriums. In California, the moratoriums lasted for over two years. No rents, despite landlords having to continue paying expenses.

I�m seeing upward price pressures all over on things beyond our control.

As a risk manager, holding back costs while staying compliant with increasing regulations in an inflationary market is an impossible task.

You�re right, though. It�s in part due to Bidenomics.

You want to speak to the local housing authority or Fair Housing. They can offer free legal and let you know what your rights are.

I have not priced in the increased insurance or property tax increases nor any consideration for "fair market rent". The insurance and property tax alone will bump the current rent by $450. My tax returns last year reflected $1500 less income year over year due to that much rent not being paid AND my rent rate for 2022 was just below market. It has to go up to compensate for real costs imposed by insurance and government.

I don't think that is going to do it.

I'm betting right now that the handlers in the white hut are busy over playing their hand. If they were really smart and not just thugs and ideologues they would walk away. But they aren't and so, let the games begin. Not funny games though.
