I’m avoiding thinking too deeply about something that impacted my early childhood all the way through my early 20s. It’s just one more head-shaking disappointment. It’s a horror show that I always “knew” was there - which is patently untrue, unverified Internet stories aren’t proof. But I knew there was SOMETHING wrong, somewhere. It’s still real to me, dammit, but now I know what’s real. And I don’t know if a single one of the people involved from the late 70s to the mid-00s are genuinely able to be trusted or believed.
