Batman & Robin 1997, for example. There's also that 'the comics' is everything from og Batman shooting people with a gun to Silver Age Batman to The Dark Knight Returns to All-Star Batman and Robin. Certainly there's ways movies can be more or less 'faithful' to the general vibe and aesthetic, but they aren't necessarily connected to being good. Most of the successful superhero movies are the ones with the confidence and consistent creative vision that they become additions to the canon, with elements that in turn get incorporated back into the whole.
