Yeah I think it was decided it was scraping the forums anytime you requested a page and then it would edit the text and links as it delivered it to you. So if you went to (whatever url)/poopybutt it would try and load forums.somethingawful.com/poopybutt and then scrape that page. It probably would have slowed the forums down a lot if it had stuck around or been popular, but if only a dozen people are loading it then it wouldn't have been particularly taxing.

I watched a netflix doc about Arnold Schwarzenegger and he talked about getting the part of the terminator. Originally they wanted OJ for it, but at the time no one could picture him as a brutal killing machine.

As bad as I feel for the kid, I feel worse for the dad cause he just looks straight at the camera like "oh poo poo the wife is gonna kill me". It's like those movies where someone is found doing some horribly illegal poo poo to frame someone else and all the surveillance footage has em looking square into the camera so there's no doubt it's that guy.

it sure sucks that there are great movies in which OJ Simpson plays just a normal dude, but at least the running gag is that he gets beaten to poo poo. The writers somehow lucked out when their "it's comically tragic that this extremely nice dude keeps getting hurt" bit flipped straight past "I can't believe we let him in movies" to "it's funny because he deserves it"
