BlackIronHeart will not be receiving a ban for their post, nor any further punishments. Being charged by an unleashed dog is terrifying, and I'm never going to tell someone they can't defend themselves in that situation.

I also agree 1000% that if you own a dog, it should be on a leash in a public area.

The post is not fantasizing about murdering dogs, otherwise I would be reacting differently.

(Bias disclosure: I own a 50+ pound husky/GSD mix who, while never aggressive to humans, is aggressive to other dogs and I'm extremely pro-keeping him on a leash so he doesn't get into a fight with the neighbor's terrier or w/e. Dogs deserve responsible owners. Regular people should not have to be afraid of hospital bills or worse because of irresponsible dog owners.)

Note that I would feel differently about the situation if the dog was on leash.
