Someone please, please tell that Fever Ray is still a good thing. Or the Knife.

If Dreijer turns out to be a poo poo person, I don't know what I'm going to do. (I'll just be horribly disappointed)

Dreijer seems to actively hate fame and attention, which is a good sign.

My only RHCP anecdote is that Kiedis was hella creepy towards a friend of mine once, and I've actively disliked them ever since. Their music doesn't help though, and hearing the statutory rape thing is both unsurprising and another reason to dislike them.

They Might Be Giants Behind The Music Episode Lacks Sex, Drugs

It’s short so I’ll just c/p it

The Onion posted:

NEW YORK–The new They Might Be Giants episode of VH1's Behind The Music is devoid of sex and drugs, sources reported Monday. "Man, we haven't had that much trouble finding something juicy since the 'Weird Al' episode," VH1 senior vice-president Bill Flanagan said. "We can almost always hit paydirt with a band's groupies, but in They Might Be Giants' case, they're all 31-year-old computer programmers." The They Might Be Giants episode largely focused on keyboardist/accordionist John Linnell's harrowing early-'90s addiction to Tetris.

I get what they're going for (sexless nerd losers), butI'm not sure why they're referring to the band as computer programmers as if it lessens the likelihood of them being sex pests.

They are referring to the band's groupies as 31 year old computer programmers.

I will not shut up about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I talk about them all the time and work them into every conversation I have. I built a shrine in my room for the yellow one who died because sadly no one noticed because she died around 9/11. Wanna see it?

Never ask a European about the Roma. Or Jews. Or Africans. Or Muslims. Or their neighboring countries. In fact, just don’t talk to Europeans.

Most of the bands I've been in were big fans on sleeping on floors and talking about Riot Grrrl records. Actually our drummers were regularly Steely Dan fans for some reason.

I have to go listen to some Huggy Bear 7"s now.

The latest Fever Ray record is pretty rad and Dreijer is just doing what Dreijer do. In one song they make threats to their kid’s bully. Olaf is on a few tracks too iirc, so the Knife is, in an unofficial capacity, still Cool and Good.

I think the more instruments you play the more likely you are to be a Steely Dan enjoyer. Show me someone who plays six instruments and I'll show you a Steely Stan.

What can it be, is it a savior?
How must we praise it, debase ourselves?
Can it give us meaning?
Is this the answer we've been searching for?
