This one is laughably bad. Great that it comes out right after Biden's massive victory last night.

I just don’t understand how these numbers break the way they do and it points to a real concerning problem with Biden’s perception. He seems to get zero credit for anything positive going on whereas Trump can go on a word-salad tirade, botching names, places and details and still walk away with the nod in overall competency. Dude staged a coup for gently caress’s sake.

Exactly this, which is why when leftists then took Putin's side in the Ukraine effort I was baffled. It isn't the 80s! They aren't communist anymore, in fact they're hyper-capitalist! Putin was more popular than Yeltsin among the Russian people bc he offered a touch more social services than his predecessors and made some nice parks at the start of his tenure, but it's definitely not anywhere near communism or even well-run socialism.

No, those video essays about manufactured consent aren't a response, bc RUSSIA ISN'T COMMUNIST ANYMORE. We helped ruined that. Its current system is capitalism, run by rich elites! The war was started and is being continued at their behest. Whyyyyyy are you supporting themmmmmmmmmm, working mannnnnn

Just a bunch of sad class traitor puppets who don't even realize that's what they are bc YT told them Russia can't possibly be imperialist.

When I moved to the US from Russia all the kids at school would ask me if I was a communist spy a full decade and a half after the wonders of capitalist shock therapy. Most Americans are very insulated from how the rest of the world works, but I will always admire the unflappable confidence in their world view :911:

Yeh the 'its historically Russian land so we have claim to it' poo poo that Russia genuinely loving said should've been a loving sign that this is straight imperialism. It should've been a reminder that, pre-communism, Russia was an empire for much longer than they were ever communist, and there's a whole lot of the oligarchy that longed for and worked for a return to that form - and they've succeeded.

Supporting Russia in it's current incarnation isn't supporting leftism and communism, it's supporting a return to pre-communist imperialism where Russia expanded its' borders by taking control of its neighbors through force.

This poll is probably the prime example of how polling doesn't work. Look at South Carolina's Democratic primary last night. In early January, polling had Biden at 62-69%. He won with 96%. Pollsters are fundamentally missing something.

People were talking about how third parties could sink Biden and now they're realizing how dumb that narrative was considering Dean Phillips got like 400 votes

Also it helps to see who is actually showing up to primaries based on demographics and women and black voters are turning out in outsized numbers. So yes, it's a massive victory on both fronts to see an energized base rallied in a primary.
