If bill doesn’t get a job this year idk that he’s ever coming back. He’s already old as hell, every year it’s going to be a more and more ludicrous proposition to hire him

Yup.

I think a big chunk of why he didn’t get hired by anybody is that, at age 72, what’s your best case scenario even *IF* he was still good? He sticks around for, what, three years?

Teams want a coach who, if he’s good, stays around for a decade or more.

This might mean Tom Clements - The Real GOAT of the Packers - is retiring 💔

Or it means that they are going to sit him behind Clements for 3 years, then trade Clements to the Jets, and in 14 years this guy will be ready to teach our next HOF QB THAT throwing motion and how to throw off balance and all that required stuff.

Serious post: Usually when a guy just joins a staff it's with this sort of nebulous title and then they work there way into the various office coaching positions. I'd hope if Clements is actually retiring that they'd bring in someone with actual experience coaching to fill the void.

If the Bears trade Fields to the Raiders with Getsy as OC, that would be the cherry on top of the worst quarterback development plan I've ever seen. We completely ruined you in Chicago. Now we are gonna send you to the one guy we know won't build an offense around your skillset.

Wow. The Commanders are gonna move and try to trade for a QB with Mahomes qualities, while the Bears will most likely drop to Pick 2 and draft a QB from UNC… Oh My God.

It sounds like he is coming in at some sub-OC role so if his job is mostly to dial up sick run plays that seems good

Agree “ground and pound featuring Justin Herbert” sounds bad but hopefully Harbs is savvy enough to not do that (too much)

the commanders are not going to trade up one pick when there are 3 great QBs in this draft. it's just patently absurd.

Bad, very bad!
I still think Kingsbury is a somewhat gifted offensive mind, he just really really needed to go through the ranks to learn exactly how to coach and he didn't. Ever.

He had five years under Kevin Sumlin, who...well might not exactly be the best mentor. Then straight to Texas Tech as HC, then a week or so of being USC's OC before Arizona hired him.

If he'd taken an NFL OC job I think his career might have gotten better. But he did get that mansion with windows in Arizona so I'm not hating on his decision making process too much.
