i think religion in all its many forms, as it is practiced, is generally detrimental to human society as a whole.

yeah mrs d8 worked airport security pre nine a leven
she mostly drank coffee and played ms pacman machine in the lounge between flights

two best mrs d8 security wheezes:

1) self important big business type gets pissed off about something and snaps snide at her, "wanna look at the bomb in my briefcase, binch?"
mrs d8 smiles very sweetly and says to the deputy sheriff standing a few yards away, "oh officer, this gentleman says he has a bomb in his briefcase"
the gentleman was led away for a stern talking to.

2) college girl's purse in the x-ray shows a suspicious item. mrs d8 lifted out the big bag of weed with one hand and the tear gas pen with the other. she gave the girl a brief lecture about not bringing stuff like that on a plane. then she returned the weed to the purse, tossed the tear gas pen in the trash and waved her through.
the deputy didn't notice.

I kind of disagree that religion has been a wash with regard to humanity , but I do think religiosity is the problem not religion itself. Also spirituality is a key component of the human experience. Like you don't need religion to be spiritual but it is a component of religion.

The majority of people who practice religion are not out there persecuting people. They're just living their lives. Its just that there is a loud minority that use religion to persecute.

Yup! Our general contractor guy is a family friend at this point. My wife used to work for him when she didn't have papers.

Burnt out heat sensor. Never in a million years would I have figured it out.
