romanowski posted:

even if the quote you're rsponding to came directly from harris himself it is not even remotely close to the same kind of petty and vindictive behavior that snyder exhibited

I'm not equating them. Both can be petty assholes which is literally what I said. I did not say "Snyder and Harris are exactly the same levels of pieces of poo poo"

Also, dude has only had the team for a hot minute, we didn't know that Snyder was sex trafficking cheerleaders and all that poo poo right away so the sky's the limit for Harris.

Me now: Ben Johnson is the smartest man alive.

Ben Johnson is going to be unhirable until the Lions offense is really good again and league people admit they didn't care about anything he said. The money isn't real and if the owner actually balked at the price they're going to fight Tepper for worst owner in the sport

Dan Campbell is 6'5, 265 lbs—props to the Lions for hiring such a beast.

That got me wondering which coach would win an MMA style tournament (Basically if every team claimed, "My coach could beat your coach up"). I'm thinking something like out of NCAA basketball to help keep the number of matches manageable. I think Dan Campbell would be a strong candidate to win the whole tournament. I'm also bullish about Jerod Mayo's prospects. I think Mike McCarthy, Andy Reid, and Jim Harbaugh wouldn't make it very far.

Yup. He's going to build on his resume. If the Lions suck next year (they shouldn't) then he might need to wait longer.

Man imagine a pencilneck like Staley or KOC vs MCDC

Like they don’t even have WWE names, while Dan Campbell does. That’s how out of his league everyone is

I hate how lovely all of it has become and I especially hate how lovely the podcasts have become.

I recognize Mays doing actual in-depth analysis for an absurd amount of episodes per week during the initial pandemic was never going to last.

And I’m happy that Mays got to the point where now he has a bunch of other people doing athletic football podcasts so he can step back a bit.

But gently caress the quality is garbage.

The national level Athletic stuff is garbage for sure but some of the more localized content is still good. The beat writers for the Cardinals (baseball cardinals that is) and Titans are both great, and having access to Dane Bruglers work is probably worth the sub fee by itself. But yeah, nothing against Dianna because she’s a good podcast guest and stuff but she’s just their version of schefter at this point.

Chiefs Offensive Advisor or whatever I'm guessing is what's going to happen. Some sort of nominal position that doesn't mean anything, I don't know what's left for him. He's too established to just take a RB coach job and he shouldn't have to.
