Hey look, it's Gru's grandfather!

Also, how is Hippy planning to blackmail him? Will his fellow crooks care whether the Snail is genuinely legless or just faking it?

Every time I read Scarlet O'Neil I feel like i'm having a fever dream and I love it.

It's absolutely incredible the psychotically dysfunctional characters that newspaper comics authors think we're supposed to be sympathetic for.

Val could always use another badass lady retainer.

So Keith made another man vanish under intimidation and now he "knows a guy" who owes him favors. It took awhile but the accidental(by author) ACAB is rock solid now.

I'm loving phoned-in Phantom smiling like a loon as he leers at his kidnapped wife in a cell moments before he is gunned down full auto style because apparently he snuck in in bright purple spandex in broad daylight. Guest artist really earning his keep here.

I think she's going to waste another 6+ strips rephrasing "horses are an invasive species, this bothers Mark" because she's a hack who doesn't even have a basic script ready, seeing as we're about two years past the point of being polite.

This is worse than a college freshman encountering their first word count essay.

If one of my students turned in an essay like this, I'd be equally disappointed and doubting myself as an instructor.

I know this is a comic about a woman who can turn invisible by pressing a nerve in her wrist, but this seems implausible. How would such a device work?

Also: why even bother blatantly cheating like this if you're running a casino? Everything is already rigged in your favour!

This is a really common trope in fiction, and it has a little basis in real life, but never as cut and dry or easily controlled as movies and video games portray it. You could have a ball with a steel core and a few electromagnets under or around the wheel, but it would never be accurate enough to let the dealer select exactly which number came up. What crooked operators would do is pulse the magnets just after the ball passed a number that had a lot riding on it. With some practice and timing you could force a ball away from a specific number. Not something to do on every roll, but if someone has been on a hot streak and you don't want them to clean house, its better than leaving it to chance.
