derp posted:what is this supposed to do lol If I had to guess heat up the wine enough to cause pressure to shoot out the cork? But glass is a pretty good insulator so it just absorbed the heat and even if it had worked you now have an open bottle of very hot wine. There are so many ways to open a bottle of wine without a corkscrew that are better than this.

Butterfly Valley posted:Beaten like many VR users dicks but yeah VR porn has long been a thing and works perfectly fine on the cheaper headsets. In its current state I find it really boring because it mostly puts you in the perspective of a dude lying down or standing stock still while things happen on and around his face and dick. I'd rather they got more weird with it like fly a 360° camera through the middle of a giant bacchanalian orgy where I can look around and see filth in every direction, come on VR porn directors use your imagination a bit wow, i can smell the gbs from your post.

Yeah if you can heat it evenly without creating a hotspot that melts the glass, the contents will expand and press against the cork until it pops or at least becomes easier to pull Which is the opposite of what they did right there

LifeSunDeath posted:you could just like, get a wine cork puller. I can imagine a situation where you have a plumber's torch like they say at the start and no corkscrew, I can't imagine a situation where they have a kitchen torch (which is for like, toasting the top of a creme brule) and don't have a halfway decent wine key. If you drink wine more than once a month just buy a halfway decent wine key, something that looks like this.

I wish that dude had timed the "pop" of the cork with the music in the background, it was so close to the end of a phrase I thought he'd done it.

I used the "shoe trick" once at a party where there wasn't a corkscrew and it felt like I was gonna smash the bottle the entire time, but like these NPR dorks show it actually works! (eventually) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6ogEknj6yk e: there's also the toilet method but i don't recommend it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYV3jyHNdKU Dance McPants has a new favorite as of 22:20 on Feb 6, 2024 |

Just drink champagne instead of wine and use a loving sword to open.

Use a screwdriver to push the cork in the bottle, idiots! Or be like my former room mate and use a fillet knife to bore a hole in the cork
