It is funny that humans are the odd ones out in the Pokemon setting. Incidentally, multiverse theory is a core tenet of the series, explaining how multiplayer works, and the Ultra Beast universe also has its own humans. And the Ultra Beasts we see are mostly their equivalents of Rattata and Pidgey.

Weirdly enough when watching Sonic the Hedgehog I couldn't help but think 'This is like Detective Pikachu, except the actors actually agree on what movie they're in'. Detective Pikachu is fun, the Pokemon are great, they do actually manage to hit just the right balance between them being recognisable and weird in a more realistic style. The human actors are all over the place, I think they tried to lean into them being more like quirky side characters in the games or anime and it doesn't quite work.

Forklift Simulator https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fRW8-UQQms&hd=1 first the grumps did Forklift Simulator. Then Sbassbear made the remix. Then Arin and Dan got to witness the magic for the first time, and then a week ago Neal Pizzini made the above animated video. Just an impressive effort all around for such a stupid, stupid thing. I love the internet
