Good god, imagine a total collapse of the GOP this year! Elections lost in Red States, total obliteration of party infrastructure and networks, and all because Trump grifted the entire apparatus until there was nothing left. No way to recover in time for 2028. Sure would be nice! Anyways… today a coworker told me a friend of hers knows a couple who are voting for Trump for the first time this year because he sent out checks in 2020!

I've mentioned this before but I am going to say it again, the Trump Jet is going to come up as a major factor in the financial story of the race. Trump 100% views it as a major part of his "image", but it is extremely expensive to operate, limited into flying into costly airports and doesn't have the capacity to shuttle campaign staff. Under normal circumstances staff and the candidate would share one plane but Trump campaigning on his 757 means, like 2016 he is going to have to pay to charter two planes everywhere. Between his massive legal fees, his dumpster fire of a fundraising apparatus and all the money he is going to siphon off in renting poo poo to his own campaign, money is going to be extremely tight and it is likely not an expense they can really afford, but Trump is going to insist on it.
