That was the second one, and I used instant coffee mixed with brown sugar, a pinch of ancho chili, thyme, and salt. It was very mild and complemented the beef. The other one I made was the peppercorn crust and I've done that one probably... 7 years in a row now.

Outside of Hawaii Costco, the business center is the only place I've seen 5 gallon buckets of soy sauce. The snacks and candy packaged for resale are pretty great too.
