Do not like the Hanu puzzles at all.

My least favorite are the Clockie ones, because they feel a little fiddly for what actually counts as the path being "connected".

If it helps, they run off a similar logic to the Dream's Edge puzzles, where what matters is that according to the current perspective, the path is connected.

I wouldn't say they're fiddly at all, they're extremely deterministic and precise. Maybe you just don't fully understand the rules?

I really liked the Clockie puzzles. The pinball stuff is kinda whatever, doesn't really feel like a puzzle to me, but it's fine. Hanu stuff is sometimes fine, but whenever it's "wait for enemy to move" type stealth, it really sucks.

yeah the trick is to "flatten" the image and make a 2d path that connects

Yeah, I mean I get how it works, I've just had times where it's looked right, then I twitch the mirror like a pixel to one direction or the other and suddenly he goes.

You need a complete path, including all corners.

Just spent a chunk of the day doing all of Penacony's sidequests and this take might be a bit controversial, but I think something's kinda hosed up about this planet. That's just me though.

the only minigame I disliked was pinball, it's just connect the dots, there's no actual puzzle or challenge. the clockie puzzles are the standout

Clockie puzzles and the wall walking are both beautiful and creative. You can tell a ton of effort went into them. The perspective zoom-out is more of a traversal trick but it's still really cool.

I didn't like the Hanu ones that much but I didn't hate them either.

Shhh... don't wake up the sleeping lion :3:

The clockie puzzles are my favorite too. I think I'd have liked the dreamwalker one more if it's more streamlined but constantly having to press buttons to use and refill bubbles felt clunky.

Yeah each new side mission I did was either :ohdear: or :stare:

Anything's better than the Luofu barge docking wheel. When only two of the rings are connected, it's trivial, and when all three of them are, it's so annoying that I started writing a script to solve them for me. (And then ran out of puzzles before I could finish it.)

I don't like the fact that the music resets every time you switch planes in the wall-walking puzzles. Also they make the map super ugly. But doing them is pretty fun.

I love that no one wants Sparkle around. I said I wasn't going to roll on anyone in 2.0 but I might see if I can't win a 50/50 on her banner, thanks for all the extra gems Hoyo. I adore her ult animation and the boost to a Qingque mono quanto team is hard to resist. She's even tiny like the other girls!

I just noticed early in Penocony in the scene where Dr. Ratio is speaking with Aventurine in the hotel room, Aventurine specifically uses the phrase "Why so serious?" to Dr. Ratio at one point. Is this supposed to be Sparkle imitating Aventurine?

I like that they made Sparkle a real piece of poo poo. I hope they don't go with the "Well actually she has a good heart" route like they did with Topaz and just let her be rotten.

I tried to get Black Swan E1 and landed at the point where another 10 pull will pretty much guarantee. Do you think Black Swan E1 is better than an easy E0 Sparkle?

i haven't finished the story but doesn't that scene essentially boil down to ratio telling aventurine, 'you're stupid, you're being left here to die alone, i will not bail you out, see you later'? because i lol'd at that scene if i interpreted it correctly

Yeah that's pretty much the same takeaway that I had.

As for the Sparkle thing, I just thought it was weird that Aventurine would use that phrase because it seems like the game is going out of its way to hammer home that it's Sparkle's catchphrase, but it doesn't really make a lot of sense for her to be posing as him in that scene (unless I am missing something, which is entirely possible because my brain is mush nowadays.)

Could also be a hint that they're in cahoots. I doubt it's going to be important beyond foreshadowing, if only because I'm pretty sure that scene is before we meet Sparkle and her catch phrase.

"Welcome to pound town, Slifer slacker!"

Honestly if it is hinting at anything I'd say it's hinting at Known Racist Sparkle disguising herself as Dr Ratio then saying racist things and Aventurine noticing it and subtly calling her out with her own catch phrase.

E1 Black Swan is pretty darned good, but I'll always recommend a new character over even the strongest Eidolons with the possible exception of the character in question being your fave.

Like if you adore Black Swan as both a character and as an unit, by all means get that E1, but Sparkle is looking to be a very powerful Harmony unit to have on any account.
