I really feel like going for a nostalgic sequel and not an adaptation of the semi-hit musical is an odd decision, but I guess if they gotta lie to get people into other musicals, it's the better track?

i think due to theme parks there is a shitload of supplemental material for Beetlejuice and Bill and Ted. like annual stage shows for the last several decades? also one of the attempts to Americanize Takeshi's Castle had beetlejuice as one of the guys chasing contestants

I didn’t even know he’d be in it until reading the program before the show and realizing that Oh poo poo, Palpatine is here.
