That looks like a strip detailing her visits to the doctor in which her son receives the vaccinations though?  I think somebody/ies read a lot more emphasis on something one of these strips said months ago and the metaphorical snowball has just rolled downhill growing larger and larger for what is a relatively benign strip about a mother raising a child and fully admitting to her own cheeky biases and ignorance.
