The yena song was quite good, the video was... painfully bad. Just constant angle shots into a kick with breaking glass effect screen transition. And if you're gonna stuff a whole band in there, maybe hold on some wide shots to show them off a little instead of needing to have frantic camera movement. They released a few other remixes, plus a version that features Lauv for some reason. Didn't really click with any of it. With the remixes, the main problem was the vocals were too diminished for me vs. the volume of the instrumentals. Not confusing at all! After Vegas I expect they'll be taking the rest of the year off from touring as this one went on for ~11 months (albeit with a lot more breaks/less performances than say Blackpink's crazy tour). We probably get the next full length album this fall then another world tour starting next year. They'll probably do another big Korea/Japan show later this year as usual.

basically the only poo poo i really really really care about rn is whatever XG's doing, dreamcatcher (cause you gotta have a favorite favorite) etc. twice feels super swifty to me. like all their shows are huge, all the tickets are five hundred dollars at the superdome or w/e, and they're really talented, but they're not accessible at all

One of my coworkers is New to kpop and I’ve found myself listening to slightly older songs as I curate her journey  Jeon Soyeon’s Is this bad bitch number and HYO’s Dessert are still bangers.

I think they meant not accessible as in hard to see them live because the shows are so big and demand is so nuts. Musically they're still one of the most approachable if only because they have such a huge discography covering so many styles at this point. If you like pop music in general, there's almost assuredly something in there to hook you. That said, if you're willing to skip the Ticketmaster fiasco you can get good seats much cheaper as show dates approach. Resellers almost always buy more than they can sell and drop prices drastically. Our floor barricade Atlanta seats were only $200 for the backside of the extension stage, and they were 550 or so retail before TM fees, but we waited until the day before the show to buy them. Obviously thats riskier if you're traveling or whatever but if it's near by, don't play the ticketmaster game.

I think my greatest accomplishment of breaking people into kpop is getting a Metal Goon to enjoy W.G.C by meenoi (if you don't know this song you should watch the MV lol)
