Adjacent to Alien because the lead plays Holloway in Prometheus but I just rewatched Upgrade (2018) last night and it's a fun little movie, definitely B-tier but it's got a clever premise, fun choreographed fight scenes with interesting cinematography, and a design style that looks like it was heavily cribbed from the Deus Ex prequels, which I'm not mad at. Worth seeing if you're looking for a mindless tight-90mins sc-fi action flick.

I thought Venom was great too. I don't know why it got such bad reviews. Also that actor looks a whole lot like Tom Hardy. They look like brothers.

I love threads like this and the HEAT thread because you can bring up a movie that shares some commonality with the general subject and folks will be like "yeah that's a good one don't sleep on it." It's not unlike having a little friend group of cinephiles. :3
