I have nowhere to share this ChatGPT3.5 prompt. I enjoy that this response seems to be correct and exceeds my expectations. I know this isn't new but I didn't expect it to work so flawlessly the first time I tried. In fairness, I gave it a very easy question.

When I used chatGPT to do mine I started with this.

User
Let's make a prompt and send it to dalle! Main topic is hedgehogs there should always be a hedgehog (real not sonic) as the image focus.

For our first one let's do airship pirate hedgehogs flying over a medieval village.

Unfortunately the ship was more badly made hedgehogs swarming a dirigible, but asking for a close up of the captain after an attempt of taking and cleaning up the prompt it gave got me the results. Basically I grabbed the prompt it had for the ship changed it to skyship got read of some fluff. Still too many pirate hedgehogs looked messy decided to do the captain then decided to get rid of the sword in the prompt. The power of GPT4+Dalle is you can have it do some heavy lifting and it will happily send exact prompts if you ask.

edit: raw GPT vs my refactored prompt didn't really like either of these all that much, there's too much wrong.

Anyone have good advice or resources for creating a LORA? Ideally online, or if not, on a Mac. I found this guide on Reddit, but it appears that the colab that the guide was built for has changed in the interim and I can't get it to work.

Finally starting to apply all these tools to a proper personal project that isn't just a throwaway thing. I was making a game a couple of years back but found myself a bit frustrated with my abilities as an illustrator when making character art. I'm an okay illustrator if I put in a lot of elbow grease, but can't really make anything that looks as good as it does in my head, nor am I really skilled enough to capture the sort of art styles that I look to ape. But revisiting some of my old art, I was able to turn a character portrait from this:

into this:

into this:

In just a few hours. It takes a lot of manual effort, and I still have some detail work to do for final illustrations, but it's exactly what I wanted but couldn't quite achieve on my own.

to be honest i think your own initial images look good and im not really sure whats so much better about the ai enhanced ones? they mainly just look like the guys have darker, shinier hair.

good grief i was trying to compliment their initial drawings not telling them what to enjoy wtf. like they were doubting their abilities but i don't see how what the ai is doing is an ability issue so much as just darkening the image somewhat

Yes, Im sorry, English is not my first language. They are clearly wrong about which art of theirs they think they prefer. Its good that you are here to set them straight.

Earwicker
Jan 6, 2003

i wouldnt say that the before necessarily looks "more human" but i do think in the case of the second image especially, the ai modified version of the character also looks older to me. not sure if thats what you were going for but thats how it comes across to me specially with the thicker shadow under the eye

Soulhunter
Dec 2, 2005

I agree with Earwicker & cumpantry here, the initial images are good, and I think the AI didn't really change much in those examples (I can see slightly different shading technique, solid fills instead of outlines), but it's a matter of preference.

I think the AI ones have a different style / detail to them, but in translation, they lose a sense of feedmyleg's personal art style. Either way looks fine to me and I'd expect they both fit right at home in feedmyleg's project.

I'd be curious if Midjourney or a trained model for SD could nail something closer to their personal style without too much effort, which might speed up asset creation (which sounds like the ultimate goal here).

Anyways, here's an image dump:

We shart the world, we are the children.

Some sick, albeit impractical armor. I actually prompted for an earthworm in armor here, and ended up with these. Not sure what happened in translation.
