At the very least, I know he read the Darth Plagueis book about young Palpatine that came out in 2012, so he probably has a ton of obscure Palpatine facts in his head.

I saw a poster for the original showing of Starlight Express and I thought it looked cool. Then I found out it was on roller skates with a specially designed stage which sounded cool. Then I listened to some of the music on YouTube and it really wrecked any enthusiasm I had for it. Said poster:  I’ve seen some footage of the skating and it is impressive looking but when you make a musical it’s really important you not botch the music.

I vaguely remember hearing once that Starlight Express was insanely huge in some EU country. It might have been Germany, I'm honestly not sure but that wouldn't surprise me at all really.
