Madame Web is SJ Clarkson's first film as director - she's been directing TV since 2001, so probably has certain aspects of that style down to muscle memory by now.

At the very least, I know he read the Darth Plagueis book about young Palpatine that came out in 2012, so he probably has a ton of obscure Palpatine facts in his head.

I saw a poster for the original showing of Starlight Express and I thought it looked cool. Then I found out it was on roller skates with a specially designed stage which sounded cool. Then I listened to some of the music on YouTube and it really wrecked any enthusiasm I had for it.

I’ve seen some footage of the skating and it is impressive looking but when you make a musical it’s really important you not botch the music.
