idk considering matchmaking is still incredibly broken I wouldn't kick anyone for just not being good. If someone is making the game unfun and deliberately not contributing I'd probably quit the group after the round.
If you're playing on a hard enough difficulty that you NEED 4 divers all coordinating and every laat redeploy hurts you, you should probably be playing in a private game where you already coordinated with a squad.

I had a Hardcore Gamer in my group last night who kept running off and getting owned then yelling in voice comms that he was about to break something because of this piece of poo poo game.

Everyone extracted except him.

It was great.

Down came the glitches and burned us in ditches and we slept after eating our dead.
Wish someone had told me before I returned the game that the intro screen lies to you and the "mandatory" captcha I couldn't pass isn't actually mandatory and you can just skip it.

Debating whether or not to buy it again. because man does it look fun, but that whole experience left such a sour taste in my mouth, what sort of company tells you you need to pass 20 captchas to play a game (and then makes you take 40)?

Will also sing the praises of the HMG Emplacement, tried it out against the bots and it absolutely shreds. It can't easily kill a hulk from the front but it sure can rip both it's arms off in like, three seconds, leaving it relatively harmless. And everything else but tanks just melts. If you've gotten a bad impression from the ones you can sometimes find preplaced in the field running out of ammo near instantly, do note that the one you call down has significantly more ammo than those.

Oh, the PSN login? No, they worded it in such a way that it seems required for multi but I think it's maybe only for cross-play.

There's a screen that says you need to link it to a playstation account to play, but wouldn't let me create one to link it to unless I correctly answered 20 captcha questions, and when it did I said I needed to answer another 20, and then it told me I had failed and wouldn't be able to proceed.

I didn't realize you could just skip by that screen and still play (since the screen explicitly and directly says you can't)

Every Helldiver gets their "own" Super Destroyer, since when they die you can just repaint them and tell a new Helldiver that they've got a brand new ship for you.

When you've got thousands of planets cranking out hundreds of thousands of crappy ships that are only ever expected to do ground support ops is pennies.

Their replacement served valiantly for 2 minutes and also renamed the ship "Harbinger of Updog."
Allegedly the Democracy Officer may have neglected to direct the subsequent Helldiver in command of the ship where the Ship Terminal was located before assisting the Diver into their Helltube. This Helldiver was also unfortunately KIA.

The reason we're invading for oil is because of all these Helldivers making cross galactic jumps on their daily commute.

**🚨 DISPATCH FROM SUPER EARTH HIGH COMMAND 🚨**

**VICTORY!** Heeth and Angel’s Venture have been returned to the nurturing embrace of Managed Democracy, thanks to the tireless efforts and unhesitating sacrifices of the Helldivers. As eager colonists flock to forge a new future upon this fertile ground, mounds of the bug carcasses harvested by your hands will fuel the spread of Managed Democracy ever further.

In recognition of your selfless service, a Victory Bonus has been delivered to every Super Destroyer in the fleet. As you requisition upgrades to your weaponry, know that all Super Earth Citizens are grateful for your sacrifice.

Super Earth High Command is currently conducting DDMP (Democratic Decision-Making Process) analysis to determine the most optimal next step. **Further orders will be issued shortly.**

In the meantime, it is left to each Helldiver to exercise their elite tactical judgment in determining where best to spread Freedom next. To maximize that impact, High Command has waived safety protocols in order to fast-track the authorization of a certain stratagem’s usage for a short time. Details will be available on your ship.

**Well done, Helldivers. You have earned a moment to celebrate.
Now that we have celebrated, it is time to press the advantage. To the next fight!**

It’s even funnier than that. This bout of Terminid menace is actually ones that Super Earth genetically engineered from the last time they encountered the Terminids in the first game and had them on farm planets because they make real good oil after mutating them. Then basically bug Jurassic Park happened and they broke out of the farms and started to basically be the galaxy’s worst invasive species. So all the propaganda is to cover up this is all Super Earth’s fault and the containment field we’re building is really to just keep them contained again so we can keep using them to get oil.

The bots, despite the scary appearance, actually call the Helldivers fascists and oppressors in-game so I’m sure as their campaign kicks up it’ll turn out to be something equally darkly funny like Super Earth created actual sentience in robots because torturing them when they could think and feel made them better laborers or something

The Automatons share the symbol of the Cyborgs from the first game, who had very "EVIL COMMIE SOCIALISTS" spin in the Super Earth propaganda.

Strong stroll for a mangy stray
The glitches that happen shortly before a crash are kind of hilarious. First there was the giant purple question mark that my character somehow picked up like an sssd drive. Then today I got completely stuck in first person mode except my guns were invisible. I could still switch guns, shoot and moveI, although slowly since it was aim speed. Then of course it crashed like I knew it would.

Away all Goats posted:

I take it back. I forgot about the glacially paced post-game results screens that are completely unskippable. I don't know why it's so dang slow!

Played a few missions last night and had a blast. It really is a 3D update to the first helldivers which great. They even managed to translate the aiming mechanics by divorcing your aim from the barrelsight. Feels like friendly fire is way less of a threat because of the 3rd dimension and not having to share a screen anymore. Didn't stop me from walking into a few airstrikes/land mines though. I hope they balance the weapons a little better this time so like 90% of endgame players aren't all using the laser weapons.

Nah the special laser cannon isn't good above challenging, and the personal laser gun doesn't seem very good either.

The orbital lasers are quite good, however they run out eventually which is really unfortunate because there's simply not enough charges to deal with the higher difficulties, you will absolutely run out.

As long as you can justify your decision to your political commissar, you should be able to avoid execution by Super Earth's Compliance Regime.

There's a video in your ship about the Automatons trying to 'take what the people of Super Earth have built' so I think it's safe to say it's the exact opposite, either we are trying to take what they've built or they used to be AI slaves building stuff for us before they broke free like the bugs.
