Archives says 'gimme our poo poo'. 3 months later stuff is back. if it's not back, or if it (as it did) had classified stuff, Justice gets involved. that'd be august 2021. we'll give them the 2 months again for a subpoena. october 2021. act on that immediately. let's be generous and give them 6 months to figure out "oh should we get these classified docs back and maybe file charges" and another month for "hmm should we REALLY", and another month for "we're the government", june 2022. charges shoulda been filed a year earlier if anyone actually acted in a timely manner on, I dunno TS docs in the wild. it's too late now. his stall tactics have won and we all know nothing is coming of this pre-election

It isn’t necessarily true that his delay will go much longer. There’s no indication that the SCOTUS will grant the stay at the moment. Lets wait another few days to a week before we make those statements. Also we get a NY civil judgment Friday that’s going to have hundreds of millions in fines. He has to put up a bond for the full amount to appeal.

I disagree, but not because I think the Special Counsel will succeed at preventing Trump 2: Big Mac Bugaloo from happening. It’s because I know for a fact, truly, chaos is what reigns in the post escalator world. And we have no loving clue what chaotic bullshit will happen. It could be chaotically good or chaotically evil, but you can bet your loving last bottle cap and .308 round that chaos reigns. Don’t be a doomsayer, be a doomplayer!

You have to remember that although the scotus is conservative as gently caress, they are not necessarily trumpers with the exception of Thomas. Christian fascists? Yes. Maga? Eh. Granting cert and overturning the DC circuit would put presidents beyond their reach. They would be ceding the court’s power to regulate the criminal actions of a person, which would be insane. Under Trump’s reasoning, Joe Biden could send a team of SF forces to kill Trump and the conservative justices, and there could be no punishment for him unless he was first impeached and removed from office. While I can agree that delay and stall tactics are frustrating, there is an end in sight.

Especially if there were an incident where a student or other teacher sued because of something she did, during discovery the school district would get nuked for having to explain how this person passed background checks to be in a position of authority. Wonder if it’s like Louisiana for profit prisons where if you got a pulse you’ve got a minimum wage job as the only guard in the wing. Mr. Nice! posted:Trump's delay of the Jan 6th trial. The comedy of it is that the NY case was basically going to go on indefinite hold, but he stalled so much on the J6 case that there's now plenty of time for the NY case to be done and the judge is taking advantage of it. It's also not helping that his lawyers appear to be dumb here too: https://twitter.com/KlasfeldReports/status/1758161439041228916?t=zTBER4ZPz7vHzG-JOX0aZw&s=19 And his defense attorneys are still just performing for the Audience of One: https://twitter.com/eorden/status/1758161646692802858?t=dblla_aQq1BF0DBuz7UhTg&s=19

this one's funny in a very special way: https://twitter.com/chrisgeidner/status/1758188164487786510?t=D4Z2DUZRUZhBH304vremGw&s=19 Elmo got mad about the NLRB calling him on anti-union poo poo with SpaceX, so he got mad and filed a lawsuit to get the NLRB ruled unconstitutional. He filed it in SDTX to try and judge-shop and argue it was a nationwide effect to the business. A problem for him is that SpaceX is headquartered in California, incorporated in Delaware, 7/8 affected workers are based out of California, and the other is based out of Washington and supervised by California. Elmo now gets to enjoy the services of a federal district court judge based out of California.

It’s nuts how common that is getting, & how absurd the schemes seem in hindsight. I’ve read about multiple ones where at several stages a bank representative directly asks the person “is someone telling you to cash out this account?” or even had a person tasked with preventing fraud try to tell them they are likely being ripped off but they’re so far down the rabbit hole it doesn’t work.

Not that the Biden impeachment probe was leading to anything of consequence, but the underlying shady source just got popped for lying to the FBI https://twitter.com/MattGertz/status/1758246226447737249?t=0ComNWsar_j1_uA485oO5Q&s=19 This was basically the basis for the FBI FD-1023 they used as the smoking gun for the inquiry. One elderly relative only evaded being hacked because he kept trying to open a remote access prompt on his iPhone despite the frustrated scammer trying to walk him through doing so on his laptop, and it went on long enough his wife asked who he was talking to and then to hang up. Thankful the folk most vulnerable to this have listened to me so far when I’ve told them the IRS or Amazon or whatever do not call asking for money & if they didn’t initiate the call to hang up, & if their computer is flashing that it has a virus to not touch anything & set it aside & call me and I will help.
