Witnesses were dismissed without testifying cause as far as I understand you don't want to start a whole other recursive trial within a trial with outside evidence when you're impeaching a witness & judge didn't want to open yet another can of worms when he's already tired of dealing with the defense's bullshit anyways. so ultimately it means defenses key witnesses that Wade & Willis were in a secret romantic conspiracy to defraud the state of Georgia with lavish $300 plane tickets to uh, California? and $65/hr taint team attorney contracts (lol yes that was the actual number) are: a) a pissed off ex-wife who cheated on her husband (Wade) in 2015 & is still in divorce proceedings with him went to the defense attorney Merchant and told her that actually Wade is a cheating guy sleeping with Willis b) an ex-employee of Willis' office who was fired who says she thinks she heard something once about Wade & Willis doing it c) an ex-law partner (and Wade's initial divorce lawyer) who was booted from the firm when he couldn't stop sexually harassing people and who was texting about privileged attorney-client info with the defense attorney Merchant and who was um, less than honest on the stand oh and also the trips were all just normal vacation/romantic getaway type things that were paid for with personal funds but actually obviously it was all a nefarious plot because Willis paid for most of her half in cash
