And of course, Trinity herself has something going on too. Trinity. Like a set of three. What is the most famous artpiece which prominently features that number of characters? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Wolf_Moon#/media/File%3AThree_Wolf_Moon.jpg

I always do a double take whenever people talk about Prince Valiant because in my head "Val" means you're talking about "Val and Isaac", and the plotlines do NOT have much in common...

Also, this weekend I caught up with Kaiji and now my life is basically that Pablo Escobar meme.

Teeth blackening was a weird thing that was practiced in japan at the time, I think it was supposed to be fashionable and help preserve your teeth into old age but I have no idea if that actually worked or not

EDIT: Also the painted eyebrows was definitely another thing but I also don't know if you painted the eyebrows on your forehead or where your actual eyebrows were

Not sure how credible, but:

quote:

During the Heian period (794-1185), especially after the suspension of Japan’s embassies to Tang China, cosmetics in Japan shifted from an imitation of Chinese models to a style more attuned to the Japanese sensibility: women wore their hair very long and straight, almost reaching the floor; applied white face powder, plucked their eyebrows and repainted them higher on the forehead; and blackened their teeth.
