I don't think they had even hinted at his Weapon X backstory in the comics during all that, but the cartoon always suggested he was a figure from Wolverine and Sabretooth's past.

Yeah I don’t get the praise. It’s a bunch of cliched reconstructions of famous war film sequences but even more war-porny and a lot more green-screeny. It feels kind of gross? And all for a mobile game. The thread doesn’t need to be cluttered with this trash.
