I just watched S2. It could be two episodes shorter and you could remove the superfluous motorbike cop from a plot with too many characters already, but otherwise it's an entertaining cohesive story about the same corrupt governance that's more in the background of S1 and I like the angle of VV's character trying to break into that system but it being impossible because of his class. The party scene with McAdams and her trauma after it is very confronting. Felt so bad for the double whammy of Farrell's dying message not sending to his kid AND the paternity test showing he was his kid, which he probably didn't believe. It's even bleaker than 1, at least insofar as there's no little hopeful note at the end, or at least not one that hits the same as Marty and Rust outside the hospital.
