Even if you tease out the liberals from the democratic party, when has the dems ever delivered on a single thing they claim to support? The party does represent them, because what the liberals care about is "a certain cultural presentation of intelligence." The only thing they truly believe in is "the concept of competent cosmopolitan professionals running things." I say "the concept" because obviously this doesn't match reality, but something as simple as "having a woman with a 'neutral' accent announcing things" basically gives them what they want.

Basically they're just scum, yeah. They don't actually believe anything of substance.

Yeah, the correct framing of the Democrats isn't "they do nothing*" but instead "they actively work to prevent anyone else from doing anything." They have a very active and effective role and aren't just some neutral "harm reduction" choice.
