Rewatching the show and on episode 12 and man the rhetoric Falk is saying in the high council meeting is eerily similar to what we heard in the lead up to the Iraq war.

This show would be seen as too on the nose satire of the Iraq war if it hasn�t come out over a decade prior.

Instead it comes across as prophetic.

Question for those that have read the novels as well. There are stories in the first season that I believe are not in the first book (I just bought it and was browsing through it). For example I think the ceaser cosplay episode and the actress episode aren�t in the book. (Though I could be wrong). Were these made specifically for the show? Or based on other stories Tanaka wrote? Or in later novels that they put into the beginning episodes?

Edit. My mistake the ceaser cosplay story is in there.
