super sweet best pal posted:They really should swap the red and green stake challenges. Bigger blinds isn't as big of a difficulty spike as losing $3 on the first blind. I think the first stake penalty is a smart design because it trains you to start paying attention to the skip tags, it's pretty easy to coast to your first win ignoring them

That's true but tags can be such a massive opportunity cost, especially at Ante 1.

purple stakes is brutal. extra big boss blinds are almost always run ending. even at ante 4 it's 100,000 chips

I almost never use the skips I need to pay more attention to them and use them strategically.

I think the Hiker joker is maybe insanely good. Like if you go super lategame you have very limited options in terms of increasing your base chip value, but it can do that and then you can still sell it later e: also weird behavior, I guess a bug: I have the "flushes and straights can be made with 1 fewer card," but that shouldn't make this a Straight Flush lol

finally won a run last night, had the joker that increases the multiplier every time you play a two pair + baseball card joker and ones that boost chips and mults for face cards. red deck continued this morning and handily lost to the ante 9 boss blind lol
