It's always the second screen for working or gaming. It's often more like a podcast that I can glance at every once in awhile. I have no idea which is the cause here though. Do I treat YouTube differently because of the way they make the videos or do they make the videos that way because they know most of their audience is distracted anyway?

I love when they do have an editor, but not one who wants to actually have to watch all of it and you get the talking head asking the editor to do this or that in the edit and the editor does not, on top of leaving the request in the video.

I think Jenny Nicholson has basically said as such about her ramble videos, and Well There's Your Problem often jokes about the people who are just listening via podcast app and can't see the slide being discussed. Which is fine, it's an aspect of the medium.
