Suppose the oil man,

And you don't lay money down.

Yet Mr. King,
He killed the thread
The other day.
Well I wonder.
Who's gonna go to Hell?
Going back through the lore, the tropes are coming in:
Vampire Roman Catholics in Space.
Pod People Zombies in Space.
Green-loving Pirates in Space, cockney accent flair.
SPQR Romans in Space.
Nuns in Space.
Red-loving Pirates in Space, Cosa Nostra flair.
Gordon Gecko-inspired Big Pharma in Space.
Alien-minded AI-originating Space Elves (in Space.)

This game has it all.

Silly goose, you're here forever.

in space capitalism simulator 2003 megacorporations use invasive intelligence tools to keep tabs on all their employees for the purposes of limiting risk and silencing dissent.

honestly this might be the most plausible part of the eve universe

e: but also reading people's evemails is creepy and we don't do that particular part in geese

I bet there isn't any very creepy metadata collection or worse being done with all those third party tools the big nullblocs maintain

it's a great idea to install any "application" made by a nullbloc onto your PC computer

edit: the truth is out there

I don't believe that he succeeded but I've been told that digi tried to get garpa to put spyware in their tools. It's part of why we maintain our own audited fork of alliance auth for geese - a supply chain attack isn't likely but it's more likely in this game than any other.

My EVE head cannon on the Earthly origin of the factions:

Gallente: French speaking Western European libertarians

Caldari: Asian cyberpunk mega corporation workers

Amarr: Americans that love Jesus, lasers and slave labor

Minmatar: African freedom fighters

Caldari names are a mixture of Japanese and Finnish.

Fun fact the Ikitursa is a sea monster from Finnish mythology. It's a Trig ship modified (and named) by the Caldari.

Minmatar have Icelandic names and Norse themes, but are diverse and not particularly nordic ethnically. I figure cultural and ethnic groups of old Earth mostly don't actually exist anymore and you've got various remnants of them in groups that have formed since.

I gravitated towards the Greens, eventually even joining the party itself.

The Linke is a party I grudgingly accept exists, but I've learned enough about DDR-history I can't bring myself to trust a party that was once the SED, a party leading the corrupt state apparatus ...

I am itchy for a return. I know EVE is about waiting around for pings or for shits and giggles in lowsec, are there fights to be had for a casual 2-4 hours per weekend now? May be better to resub for the next war of somekind?

Faction warfare is you best bet honestly. Join one of the organized faction warfare groups. You can also just login for 20 minutes, do a quick pvp in a faction warefare site and logout.

you can actually inflate your scrote pretty safely with sterile saline, syringes, needles, and aseptic technique. its a niche kink iirc

the saline just slowly gets absorbed into your blood but in the meantime you got a big round smooth distended nutsack
