I dont know it will be Dallas finishing 1st in the division though.. Winnipeg has 3 games in hand on us and the tie breaker. It's hard to see Dallas doing that much better than Winnipeg the rest of the year to make up that deficit.

Bowness absolutely refuses to split Connor and Scheifele despite the fact that they allow more goals at 5v5 than they score, and have for their whole career together. It doesn't make sense for a defense first team. They would be a much better team if Connor was on the second line. The Jets would be 2 and 10 recently if they had an average goalie instead of the best goalie. They could very easily collapse like they did last year.

Yeah, it's always the risk they run with committing so much to Stone and Eichel. Though they've actually been sneaky good about getting younger the past two season. It won a cup, no complaints, but they do now have to deal with two increasingly injuries guys on $10m/yr and full nmc. Be interesting to see what they do when Theodore's extension comes around, I can't see them going rebuild, but I do wonder how much longer they can keep spinning plates

Reinhart is this season's Kreider, in the sense that he's a good goal scorer who is having an outstanding season. The problem with Reinhart, though, is that he plays for Florida. And as I have said before, you can never trust any stats from Florida.

I'm not sure this is the smartest thing to do. He's a good player but they also have issues on defense and goalie that they need to address now that we didn't really think they did. They need Holtz and Mercer to play like top 6 players and have that money to address defense.
