As someone who actually liked Kelly's work in New Japan (though I'm turning around on the idea that it was more Charlton/Rocky/Gino carrying the booth) the idea of Kevin being the best AEW play by play guy cause of his work on Collision is crazy cause it just...wasn't that good for US TV. And even if it was him threatening to sue another employee is 100% justifiable grounds to be fired Wish CYN was still around cause Kelly would 100% fit in there but perhaps the second best fate is being in NWA and doing Best Mode calls like his Destino call

I think we're all really underestimating how over Kevin is with the "uncles who repeat the same joke every time the same thing happens" demo. They're very influential in the IWC. Just thousands laughing and wiping tears from their eyes as Kevin reminds them of all the times they also said "That's my purse, I don't know you"

This is based solely on clips posted here and in botchamania, but as bad as Kelly is, he’s still better than anyone in the WWE. He actually sounds like a human being sometimes, not a soundboard of catchphrases.
