incredibly vague memory and might just be a false memory of some sort of trope but: a dialogue (i think between 2 men but dont trust me on that), very quick, snappy dialogue something along the lines of: "People are sayin it!" "I been hearing it!"

I've got something I'm mildly curious about. Mid-90s, before I had seen it, a friend told me Predator 2 had multiple predators, and there was a scene where a bank robber wanted to shoot a flower pot to intimidate people, but hit an invisible predator instead. That friend had a habit of watching (and loving) absolutely trash-tier DTV schlock, so there might be a non-zero chance he wasn't completely making poo poo up, but watched some sort of Italian rip-off with shamelessly false marketing.

Reminds me of searching the various Twilight Zone copy shows looking for an episode that I was sure aired on one of them. Turns out it aired on the actual 80's Twilight Zone show. (I believe the episode title was "Monsters!")

I got one, made harder by not knowing if it’s a show or a series since I’ve only seen clips : A black guy getting harassed/assaulted by an old-timey blackface performer who might be some kind of monster/eldritch horror. Like if Pennywise were a minstrel show instead of a clown. And I think I’ve seen multiple clips of them interacting in different environments with a sense of time passing, so I think this was a recurring thing. Really hope my subconscious didn’t make this up. It’d be pretty hosed up.

Not sure if I posted this before here, feels I have. But why not again. 90s movie, feels like a made for TV movie. Takes place in Alaska or Canada, not sure. Native American woman in her 20s has no family and is just wandering about the country. She meets a young girl, they bond, meet a man, and there is some soul searching about whether she should move on or not. Then at the end she decides to stay with them as a family unit of sorts. From what I remember its very Northern Exposure, but emo. And she looks like the female version of Ed from Northern Exposure in my minds eye.

I need help with this one, because it's been bugging me for a very long time. It's about a guy who wins a lot of money at a casino, but he loses his memory at the same time (I want to say something falls on his head?). Some black haired guy with a moustache and glasses claims the prize instead of him. Not sure what happens in the middle of the movie, except the fact that the guy regains his memory and I think final scenes of the movie happen at a baseball game and some woman expresses her love for him on a jumbotron. I'm totally prepared to find out I mixed up a bunch of movies I had on the same VHS tape. I seem to remember the protagonist being in blackface (once again, old movie) when he regains his memory. And he had a child sidekick.

I'm almost certain some of these elements are from The Fortune Cookie (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fortune_Cookie) featuring Jack Lemmon and Walther Matthau, although the movie doesn't follow nearly any of the plot beats you mentioned.

It's a movie starring Michael Douglas from the 80s, I think he's a lawyer and joins some crazy secret org that tracks down and kills criminals? Like neighbourhood watch on steroids.

Star Chamber I haven’t seen it in years but roughly: Michael Douglas is a judge that is pissed at criminals getting off on technicalities and joins a secret society that uses a hitman to dispense justice. Things go awry when he learns one of those criminals he thought was “getting away with it” is actually innocent and wants to cancel the hitman but the others are like “it happens, the good we do outweighs the bad, too late to stop it now.” Douglas won’t accept this and shoots the hitman right before the hit. Fake edit: added a link because that plot is definitely more accurate than my memory. Real edit: beaten because I stopped to read wikipedia.

Movie (from the 2010s give or take) that's a quasi-biography about Elvis Presley but with a different name that, at one point, explicitly references that the character "could be the next Elvis Presley"

Warmer but nope. The most notable part is the quote I listed comparing the character to Elvis - the movie is, and I cannot overstate this, hitting many plot beats from the real life of Elvis Presley. It is as though they were making a biographical film about Elvis Presley while changing the name and a few details. Another character saying that he could be the next Elvis Presley is notable because it implies that these two people lived the same lives in the same locations at the same time while looking and sounding alike but aren't the same person. edit: found it and I was closer than I thought! Howdy! Trying to track down an old kung-fu movie but the name has escaped me. late 60's-mid 70s at the latest, 98% sure it's not shaw brothers. Plot concerns a woman out for revenge. What struck me was the set design, particularly one scene that takes place in a village at night, with the sky being this deep purple color that almost looked like an expressionist painting. I'm almost certain "snow" or "lady" or "vengeance" was in the title somewhere. I checked Lady Snowblood but that wasn't it. Thanks for any help.

One of those typical samurai era flicks. I might have to poke around the lady snowboard sequels and see if something jogs my memory. That scene of the village with the deep purple night sky is very vivid in my mind's eye, but I don't have anything else firm to go on. I might try contacting the owner of the little theater in NYC that showed it a few years back, maybe he kept an archive program or something. I checked their website from the year I remember seeing it (2020), but looks like the web archives don't go back that far. Thanks a bunch for attempting to track this down! Edit: Does anyone know if Lady Snowblood had completely unrelated films released baring the Name to cash in on the hype?
