I expected Mack to get dealt.

All the Chargers have to do is cut Mike Williams and they're cap compliant, even if they keep everyone else.

If it was just a salary dump to eat that Bosa contract, I'd be tempted on the Pats for a late pick.

The only way they'll be halfway decent next year is if the defense is stupid good, so adding a guy who could be a quality pass rusher if he miraculously stays healthy is about the level of random bullshit that'd have to go right for that to happen.

And if they suck anyway and he stays healthy, they trade him off at the deadline to a contender and eat the contract. And if he doesn't stay healthy, no harm, no foul.

Why? What's the value in a ring as a back up QB after you've won as a starter?

Two-time Super Bowl winner Blaine Gabbert. The only man elite enough to serve as backup for both Brady and Mahomes.

It's this Russ is one of those guys who'll still want to play when he's 50. He's a loon and firmly believes he's still dominant. No way he wants to go hold a clip board.

Every time I hear "Arthur Smith" i think they're talking about some owner, not the ugliest coach. Very rich old guy name for a man who's not that old and is in fact just an ugly middle aged man.

He coached for 15 years before he got a shot as a head coach. He might have got his foot in the door with washington because of Daddy's money but he made he was a multi sport athlete and played offensive line before he went into coaching and he was pretty successful as an assistant before he got a HC role.

Arthur Blank wouldn't have given a poo poo who he was the son of and he was a popular candidate at the time.

Arthur Smith was a genuinely good OC for Tennessee, the offense thrived for a couple years once Tannehill came in and could distribute the ball thanks to AJ Brown being so drat good and having the threat of prime Henry run all over the defense.

Though hilariously it was his refusal to use his best players that got him fired from Atlanta.

I think you can appreciate Arthur Smith paying his dues and being at least an NFL quality coach while also holding in your heart his father should go to the guillotine. He was a quality control coach for a zillion loving years, he paid his dues. Maybe he didn't have the same stresses that a quality control coach has making like $30k a year while working insane hours doing boring bullshit work, but he did it.

The other wild one is that Dolphins HOFer Zach Thomas's father was an incredibly wealthy oil guy who built a gigantic cross in the middle of nowhere in Texas.

That doesn’t seem like a great deal for Baker, but I guess having a home for a couple years and $50M in the bank is good. I’m guessing he won’t see a lot of that “$100M” that’s probably super incentive based.
