It would smell pretty bad from all the dead insects etc they feed to the larvae. I dug a smaller European wasp nest out of my friends yard in Sydney recently, it smells bad near the core.

Worth noting if you have a wasp nest nearby your house you can expect all your plants to be caterpillar free. Wasps are like, natures garbage men and take out all the trash bugs in the neighbourhood. It's why having one big house spider that lives in your hallway is a good idea to keep your house free from moths and flies.

When I was a kid we had wasps set up a nest underneath my bedroom windowsill, so eventually we got a dude out to get rid of it and when he put whatever the poo poo is they put in the nest to take them out they went absolutely fuckin berserk and I had a swarm of wasps big enough to completely black out my bedroom window hammering against it for what felt like hours. It sounded like the end of the world and was absolutely terrifying to watch even from behind glass.

As I'm starving after all our crops fail, the sky dark with smoke from mega fires, my arm throbbing with pain from antibiotic resistant infection, thirsty from the water shortage wishing I was Chinese, at least I'll be happy knowing the wasps are all loving dead

Remember wasps are smart, if you order a wasp suit online make sure none of them are hiding in there before you get into it. Wasps have already taken over much of the wasp resistant suit industry, just to make sure they're keeping one step a head of their victims.

I'm pretty chill about spiders and it paid off in a hilarious way recently when I got stung outside, must have tracked a wasp inside and a spider living in my house rolled that fucker up in like 2 seconds. I got a ton of these lazy wasps who live in knots in the exterior of my house and try their best to build big nests but it never gets very far. They have never bothered me and so I have never bothered them and we all get along.

dirt dobbers made a couple nests in my breezeway and my dad pointed them out, but I forgot to get rid of them until 5 minutes before he arrived the next time he visited. I ran out there to do it so he wouldn't give me poo poo and in my haste I got dirt and spider parts all over me and in my hair and eyes
