"Top Leaders in Faith and Finance" is a giant screaming scam siren to me, so it seems pretty fitting for Teabow.

I was thinking about seeing Dune 2 this weekend but it'll be too nice out. I desperately need to get some sun so it'll be a weekend or yard work and hiking.

I finally got back into Disco Elysium after I stepped away for a bit. Leaned in hard and made a lot more progress. This game is so loving rich, man. It’s fantastic.

I need to go back into it. I started it a couple of months ago, but got distracted trying to clean up a bunch of Yakuza games that I never quite finished, and then I got a PS5 a few weeks ago and am now playing FFVII: Rebirth. After that is either Demon's Souls PS5 and/or Spider-Man 2, so who knows when I'll get back around to it

I’ve been rewatching Justified as background noise and hot drat this show was so, so good. I have many thoughts, but the redneck noir hits such a specific vibe for me I can’t get enough.

Ah, one more!

I think I spoke too soon on Disco Elysium. I sort of crested the plot and loving sprinted through the end. Incredible game but it ended up with less meat on the back end than I was hoping for—particularly with so much storyline remaining with Klaasje’s corporate espionage poo poo, the impending class war and the Claire’s Union poo poo.

I still give it like an 8/10 but when it broke open it broke WIDE open and it didn’t feel particularly challenging in that final sprint. Just tons of exposition.

Dune - pretty great. Christopher Walken looks his age, but he's still so good to watch in anything. Brolin, milf of the prophet and the Chalamet were amazing too. Sound design was incredible throughout. Haven't enjoyed the audio of a movie that much since The Northman

Yeah, we've watched the show multiple times and it's just so good.

We started The Gentlemen on Netflix tonight and it's fine. I feel like the main character is by far the worst actor on the show so that's kinda weird.

I started Community for the first time recently, really enjoying it and glad to be laughing. I've been pushing myself to binge it since it's leaving Netflix at month's end. I've heard it gets bad after Donald Glover leaves, is that the case? Should I power through past that point or not bother?

It has some bad eps and some good ones. Its worth watching for some of the eps but tbh they probably should have pulled the plug when dong lover left. The last season from memory is weak as piss, but I might be mis-remembering. But still the show overall is extremely good and its worth watching just to see where it goes.

Edit: what I'm driving at is, the bad eps didn't take away from my enjoyment of the product overall, but it does have some post michael scott vibes at times.

Quality dips a little, but if you’ve enjoyed it that far, it’s worth it to keep going as these still good stuff in those seasons and they are shorter, only 13~ episodes each.

Ehh, Mao had some good ideas about landlords.

Edit: for some context my rent is getting jacked up so I have to move and I get more Maoist every time that happens. I was a down right capitalist when I had an apartment that didn't raise my rent for 4 straight years.
