(Insert Mad Max related text)

I went and saw some graffiti in the desert. The lighting is harsh and I am learning my new R8 (the camera has never been the problem).

This panel is huge. The dark one on the right is about 8 feet tall for reference. The details when punched in are fantastic.

It had rained a few days prior so there were some puddles in the shaded areas.

On a second hike that day (with us notching 11.7 miles total) I had a look at some windows

Then took in the scenes outside the windows.

Nothing like it, absolute favorite trail I’ve ever seen. Even in the Grand Canyon, South Kaibab is next level beautiful.

Love all of these.

Also these. It's a bit of a quad-dichotomy or whatever you'd call it. Whites, blues, reds, and greens.

I've started exploring an idea for a photo essay. It's been a nice change of pace from the typical kind of compositions I look for. The yellow, green, and white one is by far my favorite. Not sure about the others.

They all work together but I think they’d all be improved with the more dynamic lighting of the one with the bright sun + shadow falling on it. Or all completely flat but boosted exposure so the colors pop out a little.

I like where this is going. Not sure if you have seen/read "Interaction of Color" by Josef Albers ... if not, I am equally unsure if you'll get anything out of it.

I love Josef Albers. Didn't realize he wrote a book, I'll have to check it out. Thanks!
