PS4 emulation is very slowly making progress. But right now all it can really play is games that already exist natively on PC. And it can't play any of them well.

I played myself by using a cheat code in dark forces without realizing that permanently disables trophies on that playthrough :/ (the part where you have to punch out a bunch of dragons is really tedious when you keep having to do it because you died later in the level and there are no checkpoints. oh well, I'll fly through on easy one of these days)

For sheer great melodies, on paper (like Mozart or something), I think Mega Man 2 and 3 are the peak of video game music. And the aforementioned FF7 music, Nobuo is a maestro. Tough to choose one. And being midi, naturally these are some of the most fun to see bands cover, with some room for flavor. For a completely modern recording quality for games type of thing, my fav might be say, tough to pick, the music in the new Zelda games are cool, though it also uses subtle stuff and some silence in the game comparatively. I also like the rockin' soundtracks like Doom, Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk, pumpin' Yakuza jams etc. Harrow posted:I had a buddy in my freshman year of college who wasn't much of a gamer but, on a whim, decided to play Twin Snakes on his roommate's GameCube. Streets of Rage for most of the series still has some of the sickest video game music ever. 2 and 4 being all time imo. 2 is just a bona fide musical tour de force and I will always love the SoR4 soundtrack.

There is so much to do in Horizon Forbidden West. I've finally finished up the southern desert region and am working my way through Quests in the snow and jungle areas. Everytime I turn around there is a new green exclamation point. One complaint I do have is the lace of new weapons and armor. Thr game is dropping stuff into my lap now, but while most of the new, unique weapons are interesting those weapons can not hold a candle to bows, bombs, and ropecaster.

Taking down the giant machines is always a thrill. I've taken to using Mongol tactics and have become a horse archer warrior. I really can't wait to see what other new machines are in this game.
