I'm surprised that there are any millennials with 401ks over a million. The oldest millennials have been in the workforce for about 20 years so even if someone had hit the contributions max for every single year they'd been in the workforce they still wouldn't have reached a million yet. So you'd have to both been able to max out contributions ever since your first job but also have made some extraordinarily lucky investment decisions.

For 2024 the individual max is $23k but your employer can add another $46k to that. I thought it was just 1x not 2x.
