Changes in art style, draconian rules for submissions that may be rejected anyway when the papers get reshuffled and they get kicked the gently caress off the pages for any reason or no reason at all, comparatively worse pay over the years adjusting for inflation, rising demand for them to keep pumping out comics on a daily basis (see point 2), varying levels of burnout?

I don't know what this means. My brother's ex-wife, who is a painter and who moved halfway across the country to pursue her doctorate in photographic realism [could be wrong about the appellation] often lamented the state of affairs in the art world. She had several patrons who basically bankrolled her, so it's not like she was bitter about it; she just called it like it is. This is over a period of about 25 years, meaning it was something that she complained about long before I was a posting mega-star on these forums.

Meaning it's not just a display of antique clocks. It's a series of art installations. What question are you begging?

I thought you meant clocks can't be and/or aren't often installed in a gallery.

It's the National Watch & Clock Museum in Columbia, Pennsylvania but the specific clock that was wrecked was a sculptural piece created by a Minnesota artist: http://www.timeshapes.com/wall_gallery.php

I think I dropped a clock off there that a museum I worked for had borrowed for an exhibit. The curator we delivered it to seemed very angry at clocks, if he still works there I imagine he appreciated something falling off the wall.
