It isn't at all like TPBs but the Venn diagram of people who like either is a circle in my experience. Also, Letter Kenny went on too long IMO. Should have ended right before they started going up-country.

If you start at the beginning, give it a chance, and stop when you think it gets bad you'll probably get a solid 4-5 seasons of enjoyment out of it. I got to see Jim Lahey and Patrick Roach (Mr. Lahey/Randy) do a TPB live show about 10 years ago and it would have been hilarious even if I hadn't seen the show.

I just felt like it was an ongoing excuse for Jared Keeso to write himself as the cleverest, strongest, toughest, quickest wit in random situations. Yeah letterkenny or whatever tries too hard to be clever it feels like. Trailer park boys has the characters saying the stupidest thing possible but it somehow always feels true to their world. My favorite ongoing bit is Julian getting in a car crash/fight and somehow getting out unharmed without ever spilling his cocktail lmao

The TPB Xmas movie is fantastic. Ricky not knowing how to deal with snow (because he's alway in jail in the off season), the God/Santa bit, the origin of Lahey/Randy, and birth of J-Rock and the Rickymobile is all so loving good.

The first time I just happened to run into it while channel-surfing it took me like 15 minutes to realize it wasn't a reality show. So yeah it's good. (I've also watched American Movie twice and I'm still not sure if it's a documentary or not.) e: If you haven't seen American Movie, watch it as soon as ASAP possible.
