So, anyone fought a Medusa yet? If so at what level? Also how the f do I give Hugo guidance or whatever Also I've collected so many wakestones and have nothing to use them on. The game somehow invited me to use one against one of the coral snake fighters, so I did just to see, and they immediately started attacking my again so I put them down. What a waste

Drakes seem much tougher in this game than in the original, especially given that reviving your pawns takes time to complete instead of being instantaneous. Party-wide kill-everyone moves are harder to weather if you don't have the downtime to counteract them. Really makes me miss having a bow and dagger class for inside-outside play.

Added myself to the Google sheet and added ps5 people as friends so we can share free pawns. One person had their privacy settings to not accept friend requests, maybe unless friends of friends? (Can't remember which one) Also, the OP of this thread says pawn codes should work cross-platform but several websites say that won't work? I got an "not found" error trying to add one person from Steam. So, either they don't work or I picked someone with a typo and was unlucky.

So i'm level 26 with 491 magick power but I dropped on Meteoron on a Gryphon and it lost all its health except uhhh about that much. I used Maelstrom on a cyclops and it didn't do hardly that much damage. I think there's a lot of luck in whether or not your spells make good contact.

How the heck does Heavenly Arrow work? Sometimes I'll get a headshot that does almost two healthbars, but sometimes on the same enemy I'll get a headshot that does less than Deathly Arrow. It does damage "base on the stamina you have remaining" which I assume is zero because it eats your full stamina bar to draw the bowstring, but I tried mashing harspuds into my mouth to build the bar back up pre-shot and it didn't seem to have any noticeable effect (it didn't do much damage at all)

Genuinely curious how many main quests and side quests are interconnected. I did a side quest in the Vermund capital that allowed for an alternate outcome in a main quest, and that outcome plus an optional interaction with an NPC added a side objective to an upcoming main quest. I could have done these in a different sequence and it would have meant missing this extra objective. Makes me wonder what I might have already missed out on since this was by chance.

The game implied to me that stuff you've lost like that can be repurchased later at the salvage guy at the border town. I'm guessing/hoping that he exists as a way to prevent you from permanently loving yourself over like that.

I really want to unlock warrior already. There is honestly no excuse for the game not having a lock on mechanic. You obviously wanted to block that attack. It’s not believable that a person in real life would want to block an attack with a shield and simply just face the wrong direction by like 40 degrees and then whoops they get hit. It’s stupid. The developers were idiots not to include it and it honestly destroys the verisimilitude of playing a melee character that can block because of how clumsy the simple act of blocking is without lock on. I will absolutely die on this hill. Anyone who disagrees is wrong, and not least because if you don’t want to use a lock on mechanic, were it to be added, you could simply not click the stick to activate it. Captain Oblivious posted:What was it out of curiosity? These are all spoilers for early-ish to mid game quests in the Vermund capital: First I did a quest to help rescue a kid from some catacombs built next to/under the Gracious Hand building in the slums. That reveals an old library hidden under the building. Then one of the main quests for Brant is to visit a magistrate that Disa has imprisoned in the dungeons. He can't be convinced to escape (afaik) unless he has a nice place to hide out that will stimulate his mind. You recommend the old library in the Gracious Hand catacombs so he follows you out of the dungeon. I assume it's totally possible for him to die here or be recaptured since I had to bust out a wall in a nearby cell to get him back to the slums. That part is almost beat-for-beat a mission from DD1. Then I went to pay the magistrate a visit after following up with Brant (but before I did any of his other quests). That's when he mentioned that his glasses had been confiscated and put in a storage room inside the castle. He added that a masquerade would be held in that area and it's a good pretext to steal the glasses back for him. The masquerade is a main mission you get from Brant that afaik you can do in any order. I haven't started the masquerade mission yet so hopefully I can get into the storage room while I'm inside the castle.

It's really weird how few Chimeras seem to be in this game, considering how common they were in the original. I'm like 32 hours in and I've fought a grand total of one. Are they ALL over in Battahl or something? On the other hand, WAY more Ogres.

This was neat the first time but I'm really not a fan of it anymore. There's a loving drake in that exact same location every other time I rest in Vernworth. Doesn't even fly in or anything; it just spawns there. Maybe kills a couple people and then leaves when it gets low on hp so I don't even get anything out of it. This last time he killed Brant, who is seemingly the most major quest NPC in the game. Fuckin' good thing I noticed. I think I'll just not go over there anymore. When he spawns after resting you can hear him growling from your house, but he doesn't start attacking anything until you get closer. Dude just lives there now I guess, and as long as nobody looks at him it's fine. I'll use the other gate. Vargs fucked around with this message at 02:01 on Mar 25, 2024 |

do I need to do anything particular to have my pawn be hireable by random people playing the game, or is the simple act of playing the game automatically seeding her into people's rifts? Can people be using her when I'm also online using her, or will she only get use when I'm offline?
