Went to school with a Rhia Dyer and that kid never had a chance, especially after we found out Rhia also meant “flowing river” or something along those lines.

Cursed names in high school? I went to high school with a white guy that had spina bifida named Michael Jackson. He could dance to the best of his abilities despite his condition, so there's that.

And you can have her come sing aviation songs at your convention or function! https://www.aviationspeakers.com/shanda-lear However, you can't get her recordings on 8-track, which is a shame considering. Some sources have her name as Crystal Shanda Lear but probably not true (although there appears to be a plausibly real one on facebook)

I worked at a company called A&B Sound (which was famous in Western Canada when it was in operation.) It had an insurance division which would deal with claims for electronics: amplifiers, CD players, TVs, speakers, etc. I was in the elevator with an adjuster and their client one day and glanced down at the file folder the adjuster was carrying: POON, Tang I quickly looked at the adjuster, and she looked back at me with this pleading "don't" expression. I managed to make it away from the adjuster and her client before I burst out laughing, and ran back to my department to share the news.

Statistically speaking it has to, and it's probably even more likely that something like Braxton sounds dirty in some other language instead of just being the low-class signifier that it is here.

They had a fleet of cars, trucks and vans, and weren't picky about whether or not anyone had a driver's license, or even knew how to drive. It was rarely a nun at the wheel, but whoever it was, they were usually unlicensed. My brother drove a lorry at work for at least a year before it came out that he didn't have a lorry license. No-one had asked Didn't have any accidents though.

To bring this thought full circle, I was once serving a customer who was from the Indian subcontinent and he giggled at my name (embroidered on my shirt). I asked him what was funny, and he said "in my language, your name means "small vegetable" so it absolutely goes both ways.

I sometimes get a food delivery guy asking "3D?" and I'm like "yeah I'm 3D" and then they giggle and say "but 3D is a girl's name!" and IDK what to say to that so I just shrug and take my food and leave them giggling on the front step. (3D has been in the top 20 of boys' given names in this country for at least a hundred years.)
