For now I think they're just happy to let them sell well over time, which they do. The ports aren't super expensive judging by the info that came out of the Insomniac leak and if they're good (which I think most are at this point) then they'll sell basically forever. HZD - a 6 year old game that's going on 4 years old on PC - had the same concurrent peak today as Starfield. It's not like a Witcher 3 or Skyrim situation but I think most do very well for themselves in terms of ROI. I think the day will come in the next 5-10 years where one line on a chart passes the other and they decide it makes more sense to do day 1, though.

I split a PlayStation to play that game and never got very far and would buy it on PC to try again. I also got it to play Ni No Kuni which I half loved and half never gonna bother finishing.

Forget yarnham. last weekend was an elden ring weekend My brother and i got seamless co-op going (works surprisingly well, minus some chortle-worthy bugs like invisible horses or misaligned npc hugs) Also playing with the hottest elden ring overhaul mod, Elden Ring Reforged, which rebalances combat mechanics and lots of other things so the game feels quite fresh!! Some very clever new additions!! i'll list the more notable ones if anyone wants!!
