If I'm totally honest, we probably wind up with the NY AG seizing properties in ten days regardless of this. It's still an absolutely stupid amount of money that he might not be able to find. From what's been reported, banks don't want his properties as collateral so there's only so much he can do here. He's still likely super hosed, he'll just have no real excuse when the time comes to start selling poo poo off.

He has to put up a bond but he could get it back on appeal. There hasn't been one single consequence that has actually stuck yet. Honestly, it's like saying "Surely it won't hurt THIS time I ram my head into the brick wall as hard as I can!! It hurt all the other times but THIS time is different!!"
