Just read Mother Night by kurt vonnegut in one sitting. Idk what compelled me to, especially since i havent read in a while. Fun black comedy.

Watched nausicaa of the valley of the wind..never seent it before, drat good flick.

the giant warrior attack scene looked exactly like an angel attack and then son of a bitch. Anno was the animator for that scene. Incredible that he had such a distinct style even that early in his career.

They put out a really nice hardcover collection of the manga if anyone's interested, it kicks rear end and has a lot of stuff that didn't make it into the movie

probably a better time than the actual fireflies/Totoro double feature lol. I downloaded every takahata/Miyazaki feature now and starting with horus. I've seen all the Ghibli films before but it's been years since I watched most of em. Looking forward to revisiting porco rosso and neighbors yamada the most I think, ive only seen those both once before.
