The only way they pay is if cities stop approving to pay for it themselves.

Then again you could be St Louis or San Diego and have that poo poo backfire

Our receiving corp being mediocre hinged on Diggs not being cooked, yes.

I hope we actually got good compensation and it's not just peanuts. it's probably peanuts

Just draft a wide receiver each of the first three rounds, I guess.

Very happy for Diggs that he could get out of that toxic situation and away from bad teammate Josh Allen.

Let's talk Football.

Play posted:

Been seeing comments online about how the Vikings are going to draft JJ McCarthy and will probably win a super bowl his first year.

Sometimes people make me question if we are even watching the same sport. Like the Vikings are an okay team but they are not a great one. They have one superstar in Justin Jefferson, a good free agent RB in Aaron Jones and mostly a bunch of JAGs outside of that. They've somehow convinced themselves that Cousins was horrible and with him gone they'll somehow be able to unlock all the amazing talent on the team.

Wouldn't even be surprised if they could talk themselves into Darnold as well

I haven’t seen a single person think they’ll win a superbowl this coming year regardless of who they draft. I don’t know a single person who isn’t insanely worried about which qb they draft. I am personally very low on JJ. I mean it’s the Vikings. There is no reason to believe they will ever win a Super Bowl let alone this year.

His 2023 numbers look alright in total (just under 1200 yards), but there was something wrong with him for most of the season - after Week 6, he averaged like 50-60 yards a game. And he's been making noise about leaving for the last two years - its hard to tell how much of that was carrying into the locker room, but he was often pretty steamed up on the sidelines when things went wrong, and every offseason has been an adventure.

It seemed pretty obvious he wasn't happy in Buffalo. There were tweets from his brother about getting Stefon out of the horrible situation he was in, he didn't initially show up for training camp, etc.

His production tapered off pretty dramatically at the end of last year. Don't know if it was a bad stretch and/or he was nursing a secret injury or what.

If he's cooked or if he's a problem in the locker room, that Vikings second could end up being a high price to pay. I was expecting it to be a top 40ish pick but who knows

Hell that might be a high price to pay anyway

I think he's still got one or two productive seasons left in him.

As for locker room, I think there are problems in the Buffalo that go beyond a diva WR.
